FIFTEEN-year-old Amie Bagnall has been named as Prestatyn Running Club's Runner of the Month for December.

Club chairman Arwel Jones chose her after her performance in the Helena Tipping 10k in Wrexham, where she won her age-group, and for her brave run at the Welsh inter-regional cross-country championships in Builth Wells when she mistakenly ran with the senior women and yet still gave a very good account of herself.

Members will be hoping for a thaw this week so that they can resume action in the fourth fixture of the Grand Prix Express North Wales Cross-Country League at Wrexham.

Last weekend a group of members had a social run in deep snow around the Rhug course at Corwen which, weather permitting, will host the North Wales Cross-Country Championships on January 30.
