CAROL Vorderman is getting ready to turn up the heat in the kitchen.

The TV star, who crew up in Prestatyn and Rhyl, is taking part in ITV's Cooking With The Stars alongside Paralympian Ellie Simmonds, model and presenter Abbey Clancy, athlete Linford Christie, actor and television host Christopher Biggins, comedian Katherine Ryan, YouTuber Harry Pinero and Strictly professional dancer Pasha Kovalev. 

Emma Willis and Tom Allen will return as hosts for the programme which sees eight celebrities  paired with professional chefs.

The chefs mentor the well-known personalities in a bid to transform them from amateur to expert in a matter of weeks. 

Emma said: "I’m so excited to be heading back into the Cooking With The Stars kitchen alongside Tom for an all new series. We have a brilliant new line-up of celebrities who are set to be put to the test. You never know what their capabilities are which makes it a lot of fun. And if we’re lucky, we get to mop up the leftovers from the worktops."

Tom said: “I cannot believe how lucky I am to watch another batch of celebrities - all pretty much clueless in the kitchen - turning out the most amazing dishes. All in a bid to get their hands on my golden frying pan.

"Emma and I are back in the Cooking With The Stars kitchen and we are over the moon."

Cooking With The Stars is a partnership between Marks & Spencer, ITV and South Shore. It was recommissioned for ITV by Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment Commissioning, ITV, Paula Thomas Gallie and Lily Wilson, Commissioning Editors, Entertainment, ITV. Executive Producers for South Shore are Melanie Leach and Ben Peart.

Carol, who attended Blessed Edward Jones High School in Rhyl, took to X to say: "I'll be a contestant in ⁦@ITV Cooking With The Stars with Abbey Clancy, Kathryn Ryan and Ellie Simmonds Boys are Biggins, Harry Pinero, Linford Christie and Pasha Kovalev."

She teased: "I will be specialising in sprouts."

Carol, who is most famous for hosting game show Countdown, qualified for her pilot's licence in 2013.

She was in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! In 2016.

She is vocal about her political stances on social media and joined LBC to present a new Sunday programme earlier this year.

The show will air on ITV1 and ITVX.
