A MAN from Rhyl has been ordered to pay more than £750 after he stole a number of items from stores in the town and in Llandudno.
Christopher Jones, 35, of Morlan Park, admitted three counts of theft, and a further charge of failing to surrender to custody, at Llandudno Magistrates’ Court last week.
The court heard that Jones’ first theft took place on January 16, when he stole £300 worth of alcohol from Rhyl’s Morrisons supermarket on Marsh Road.

A day later, he stole a hot tub worth £199 from the Farmfoods store at Marina Quay Retail Park in Rhyl.
Then, on January 22, at the Boots store in Parc Llandudno Retail Park, Llandudno, Jones stole hair products worth a cumulative value of £55.65.
He then failed to attend court on February 28, having been released on bail the previous week.
Jones was ordered to compensation of £554.65, the total value of the items he stole.
In addition, he will pay £200 in fines, making a total payment of £754.65.
