THE “first contemporary bilingual gig in Prestatyn for years” will be held on St David’s Day next month.

At Lola’s Bar, 151 High Street, on Friday, March 1, Caernarfon-based band Kim Hon and Rhyl duo Bau Cat will perform, while DJ Pearl will also be part of the night’s entertainment.

Kim Hon, a Welsh-language band from Caernarfon, are described as “psych rock”, while Bau Cat – made up of Abby Butler and Jim Davies – make a “concoction of new and old, that sounds like a little world of its own”.

Usually performing as a three-piece with a drummer joining them, this gig will just be Abby and Jim.

Doors open at 8.15pm, before the gig gets underway at 8.45pm.
