FLYING Start Denbighshire has now received approval from Welsh Government to roll out the 12-and-a-half hour childcare offer to more areas within Denbighshire.

After a successful rollout in the Prestatyn area, the offer is currently expanding to more areas within Rhyl.

The hope is to expand the offer to areas within Dyserth, Rhuddlan and Denbigh in the near future.

In order to meet the needs of the families in these newly expanded areas, Flying Start Denbighshire are looking to increase the number Flying Start Childcare providers.

Flying Start Denbighshire are currently looking for more childcare providers in Rhyl, Prestatyn, Denbigh, Dyserth and Rhuddlan.

If you are a childminder in any of the areas mentioned and would like to become one of the Flying Start Childcare providers, the open evening is being held on January 25, from 7-8pm, at the Welsh Language Development Centre, St. Asaph.

Cllr Gill German, deputy leader and lead member for education, children and families, said: “The approval of this expansion means that more families within Denbighshire can gain access to the amazing offer that is in place.

“This offer helps families get quality childcare for their children. I am glad to see that plans to roll this offer out even further into Denbighshire are also in the works.

“I would encourage any childcare providers who are interested in becoming a Flying Start provider to come along to this information session.”
