RHYL actor Spencer Wilding is to feature in the fantasy action film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves”, due to be released on March 31.

Spencer, who starred as Darth Vader in Star Wars Rogue One and played various roles in three Harry Potter films, said he felt privileged to be involved in the latest instalment of a major franchise.

His first film of 2023, sci-fi horror film “The Devil Conspiracy”, was released in January, and sees Spencer play the “Beast of the Ground”.

Spencer, 50, said: “I’m very excited for Dungeons and Dragons. The whole world is going to be watching that; it’s such a big franchise that’s been going for many, many years.

“It’s a great franchise to be involved with. Every job I feel privileged to have.”

He added: “Basically, I’m the Devil’s sidekick. In my first scene, I kill over 50 priests – get your cushions ready, because he’s a bloody character!

“I loved playing him. It’s a gory film and it’s a great story, and the cast and crew were awesome.

“We filmed it out in Prague, and it was just really cool. I’ve filmed there a few times now.”

Spencer is also due to star in “The Toxic Avenger”, alongside the likes of Peter Dinklage and Kevin Bacon, in a reboot of the 1984 film of the same name.

He spent roughly 12 weeks in Bulgaria filming it, while Spencer will also appear in the upcoming “Borderlands” film.
