THE Met Office has again extended their yellow weather warning for snow and ice across North Wales.

The warning was initially in place until 12pm on Tuesday (January 17), which then got extended until 12pm the following day (January 18).

This morning, the Met Office confirmed that we can expect more snowy conditions until 12pm tomorrow (Thursday, January 19).

The warning covers all of Wrexham, and large parts of Conwy, Denbighshire, Gwynedd, and Flintshire.

The current conditions have caused schools to close across Denbighshire and Conwy.

Motorists are also being warned about driving conditions, with roads being closed in the area due to the snow and ice.

Again, the Met Office has told people to expect the following:

  • Some roads and railways affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
  • Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
  • Icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
