With the general election fast approaching four candidates are battling it out to represent Aberconwy.

Ahead of the vote on June 8 here is a reminder of the candidates.

Guto Bebb, Conservative:

Guto Bebb will stand for re-election as the Conservative candidate for Aberconwy.

He first entered politics for the Conservative Party as the parliamentary candidate in the Ogmore by-election, and was then adopted to fight the Welsh Assembly seat in the
former Conwy constituency in 2003.

Mr Bebb was selected as the parliamentary candidate for the general election in 2005 taking the Welsh Conservative vote in the constituency of Conwy to second
place.

In May 2010 he was elected as the first Member of Parliament for Aberconwy with a majority of 3398 and a 7.6 per cent swing.

In May 2015 he was re-elected with an increased majority from 3,398 to 3,399.

Born and brought up in North Wales, Mr Bebb is also a graduate of the University of Wales, Aberystwyth.

In 1993 he founded Partneriaeth Egin Partnership, an economic development consultancy which has traded with some success for sixteen years.

He founded and ran a successful bookshop in Caernarfon in partnership with his wife before selling the business in 2002.

He is also the business development director of Innovas Wales, has five children and has been married to his wife Esyllt since 1993.

Sarah Lesiter-Burgess, Liberal Democrats:

Sarah Lesiter-Burgess will be standing as a new candidate for the Liberal Democrats in the 2017 General Election.

Born in Nottingham, Sarah moved to North Wales at the age of 13 with her Welsh
mother and family.

In 1991 she returned to the city to study for a law degree and after completing moved
back to North Wales to begin her career as a trainee tax advisor in Colwyn Bay.

She then went on to work for a local gas and oil consultancy company overseeing contracts in the Middle East, UK and Europe to name but a few.

Sarah, who is a mother to three children, established her employment law company in 2004 and she now works as an employment law advisor.

Emily Owen, Labour: 

Emily Owen is standing as a new candidate for Labour in the 2017 general election.

She first entered politics in Conwy at the age of 21 when she won a seat in 2016 to
represent Mostyn ward, becoming the youngest member of the council.

The 22-year-old is originally from Bury near Manchester but now lives in Llandudno.

The Bangor University student has been involved with a number of charities including
Operation Christmas Child and working with the homeless.

She is also involved with The RefugeeCrisis Foundation and has taken numerous trips to Calais in 2016 with volunteers to aid the charity.

Miss Owen said: “I am very proud to have been selected as the Welsh Labour Candidate for Aberconwy.

"I am a down to earth person, away from the ‘Westminster bubble’.

"I bring energy and enthusiasm, with a consistent focus for people of all backgrounds and situations.

"I speak from the heart and I am hugely determined to look for new and innovative solutions and make the most of all of our talents.”

Wyn Jones, Plaid Cymru:

Wyn Jones is standing as a new candidate for Plaid Cymru in the general election.

He lives in Llanrwst on a farm in Nebo with his wife. He worked at and managed a
photography company in Colwyn Bay before starting up his own photography
company in 2000.

Wyn has been a member of Conwy Council since 2001 and retained his seat
in Uwch Conwy during the local election gaining 379 votes 67 per cent of
the overall vote for the ward.

Mr Jones posted on his public Facebook: "I'm extremely proud to have been selected
to be Plaid Cymru's Parliamentary Candidate for Aberconwy, but there's a great deal of work ahead of us before the June 8.
