PRESTATYN High School's headteacher is "over the moon" after this year's exam results.

A total of 97 per cent of the 267 students in the year group achieved the national target of five high grade passes.

Headteacher Phil Pierce said: "We are over the moon with these results.

“This is the sixth consecutive year our performance at the level two threshold has improved showing that everyone can be an achiever here.

"Although we are justifiably proud of some exceptional individual performances, as a school we pride ourselves on success in depth. We have certainly seen it again this year.
"I would like to thank the staff at Prestatyn High who worked so hard to prepare the students and congratulate our Y11s and their families.

Enrolment for the Prestatyn High School and Rhyl 6th partnership is on Monday, September 1 at 1.30pm.

Among the top individual performers in GCSE equivalent grades are: Jade Keidel-Morgan (7A*, 3A, 1B, 3C), Phillipa Gunther (6A*, 4A, 1B, 2C), Hollie Wareing (6A*,1A, 3.5B, 3C), Rebecca Pryde (6A*, 2.5B, 3C), Nia Davies (5.5A*, 5A, 1C) and Elin Williams (5A*, 5A,5B).
