THE Queen's Baton Relay is in Denbighshire today (Friday).

The baton set off from the Rhyl Harbour Bridge this morning and will move onto Marsh Tracks, Moel Famau, Cae Ddol and Coed Llandegla throughout the day.

It will be at:

- Rhyl Harbour between 9am and 9:30am.

- Marsh tracks between 10am and 11am.

- Moel Famau between 1pm and 3pm.

- Cae Ddol between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.

- Coed Llandegla between 5pm and 6pm.

The relay event is a key part of the build-up to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow 2014.

The visit to Denbighshire is the final stop on the baton's seven-day tour of Wales, which has taken it up to the summit of Snowdon, over the Menai Strait and inside poet Dylan Thomas' Boat House.

Among the baton bearers joining the relay throughout the day will be former Wales Rugby international Richard Parks, award-winning Towyn classical singer Sioned Terry and a host of community and sporting high-achievers.
