A TOP comedy writer will host a Christmas carol service with a difference in St Asaph.

Miranda and Dead Ringers gagsmith Paul Kerensa will compere Comedy and Carols at St Asaph Cathedral on Saturday, December 1.

Comedy and Carols will tell the Christmas story with stand up comedy, sing-alongs and even an appearance from comedy star Miranda Hart - albeit via DVD.

Under 25s officer for the Diocese of St Asaph Tim Feak organised the event.

He said: “Comedy and Carols will be a great opportunity for anyone to come and celebrate Christmas and have really good fun.

“While it will tell the Christmas story, it will be in a ‘panto and nativity’ style, so it really does offer something for everyone.”

There will be comedy from Dom Woodward and Dan Logan, as well as entertainment from comedy illusion artist Tom Elliot.

The festive fun starts at 4pm, and there will be mulled wine and mince pies after the show.

Tickets are £5, and will be available on from Sian Connelly at the Diocesan Office in St Asaph on 01745 582245.
First come, first served.
