RHYL and District RFC under-nines have been the recipients of a number of rugby balls from the Principality Building Society.

These were presented to the team by Prestatyn branch manager, Deborah Luke, and her colleague, Linda Denyer.

Deborah Luke, Principality Building Society’s Prestatyn branch manager, said: “We’ve got a long history of supporting grassroots level rugby across Wales and are delighted to support Rhyl under-nines by supplying them with rugby balls.

“It is very important to us that we support our local community, and we hope the children enjoy the rest of their season.”

Receiving the gift on behalf of the club were chairman Tony Evans, with Clare Hall and players from the team.

The chairman added his gratitude for the support from the Principality Building Society, which is helping the club to provide rugby training and games for more than 300 children, an amount that has increased dramatically since the move to the new facility in the town.
