RESIDENTS from a Rhyl care home saw how supermarkets had changed during a visit to Morrisons.
Residents from Bradshaw Manor Care Home were invited along to to the supermarket as part of a community engagement project.
They saw how the the supermarket had adapted to today’s society and met Morrisons's community champion.
Emma Crompton, Bradshaw Manor’s activity co-ordinator, said “Going to our local supermarket is something we all take for granted every day, but some of our residents commented on how they have not been to there local supermarket in years. Our residents were completely blown away with the changes."
Resident Jim Brierley said “I have not been to the supermarket for around three years.
"The thing that surprised me the most was the variety of ready meals available. This would have been ideal for the likes of me who are too lazy to cook.”
Bradshaw Manor care home is run by Barchester Healthcare and provides nursing care and dementia care for 65 residents from respite care to long term stay.
