A POTHOLED road will be subject to a temporary closure in order to allow repair work to take place.

The ‘patching’ work will be carried out on Ffordd Ffynnon, on the outskirts of Prestatyn, as far as its junction with the B5119, which runs from Dyserth to Rhyl.

The repairs are being carried out by Denbighshire County Council and are expected to last for 12 days.

They will start on November 12 and finish on November 23.

South west ward town and county councillor Gareth Davies said: “I’ve been liaising with Denbighshire County Council officers for a number of months to secure maintenance works to Ffordd Fynnon.

“Although this will be very inconvenient for many road users, given that Ffordd Fynnon is a main road in and out of Prestatyn, the work is essential as the road has become plagued with potholes in recent years.

“I’ll be monitoring the works carefully and will be calling for the road be reopened as soon as is possible.”

Drivers have been advised to follow a signposted alternative route.

Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the road closure.
