A MAN lost his temper and damaged three bins at Prestatyn Railway Station.

Chadleigh Thomas Prior, 34, of Mona Terrace in Rhyl, ended up with a big court bill after he was ordered to pay £566 compensation to Arriva Trains Wales to pay for their replacement.

At North East Wales Magistrates’ Court at Mold today he was also fined £144 with £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

He admitted criminal damage on August 18.

Prosecutor Justin Espie said that an employee saw three bins were damaged on the platform and when the CCTV was checked, the defendant cold be seen kicking them and pulling them over.

Interviewed, he said that he had a row with his girlfriend, he had been drinking and lost his temper.

He kicked out at the bins but he could not remember damaging three of them.

Fiona Larkin, defending, said he was struggling financially because he lived in Rhyl and travelled to Bagillt where he worked for an electrical company.

“He is extremely sorry for his behaviours,” she said.
