A SHEEP with severe injuries to its face was left dead following an attack by a dog.
North Wales Police's Rural Crime Team shared a distressing video, taken in fields off Dyserth Road near Meliden.
The identity of the dog is not yet known.
In the footage, a spokesperson for the team said: "Here we have a got a ewe that has been affected.
"As you can see we have got puncture wounds here and here where the animal has been brought down and blood around the eye socket area.
"A recent attack in the area."
There has been a number of livestock attacks in the area; on Friday - a dog and sheep plunged to their deaths on the Great Orme in Llandudno.
PC Dave Allen, part of the rural crime team, was on scene this morning (Wednesday) when the grim discovery was made.
He said: "Another livestock attack. At least one sheep killed. I don't think we know which dog has done it yet or the owner."
