Take a trip to the French Riviera with some Dirty Rotten Scoundrels in Rhyl this autumn.

Sophisticated, suave and with a good dash of mischief, The Rhyl & District Musical Theatre Company will bring their latest hysterical spectacular to the Little Theatre Stage for four nights in October.

Based on the popular 1988 MGM film, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, will transport audiences to sunnier climes for high jinks and hilarity, this side-splitting comedy features a delightfully jazzy score by David Yazbek -The Full Monty - and was nominated for a staggering eleven Tony Awards.

The plot follows Lawrence Jameson, who makes his lavish living by talking rich ladies out of their money. Freddy Benson more humbly swindles women by waking their compassion with fabricated stories about his grandmother’s failing health.

After meeting on a train, they attempt to work together, only to find that this small French town isn’t big enough for the two of them. They agree on a settlement: the first one to extract $50,000 from a young female target, heiress, Christine Colgate, wins, and the other must leave town.

So mark the date for a hilarious battle of cons ensues that is guaranteed to keep audiences laughing, humming and guessing to the end!

The show runs at the Rhyl Little Theatre from Wednesday, October 24 to Saturday, 27 at 7.30pm, with a matinee showing at 2.30pm on the Saturday. Tickets are £12, available from rhylmusicaltheatre.co.uk or on 0333 6663366.
