A WELSH Bond villain will take to the stage for a reflection on the centenary of the end of World War One in St Asaph.

Games of Thrones, Pirates of the Caribbean and Tomorrow Never Dies actor Jonathon Pryce, who hailed from Carmel, near Holywell, will join the Trelawnyd and Bro Glyndwr Male Voice Choirs, Côr Cytgan Clwyd and the A5 Brass Quintet as part of the North Wales International Music Festival later this September.

The programme includes wartime poetry read by Hollywood actor Pryce, as well as a selection of music from Karl Jenkins, William Mathias, Samuel Barber and Michael Kamen.

Trelawnyd Male Voice Choir and Bro Glyndwr Male Voice Choir will provide a wartime medley of songs, including Pack up your troubles, Bring Him Home (Les Misérables), Tell My Father, Psalm 23, Abide With Me, Anfonaf Angel and Gwahoddiad.

In addition, Côr Cytgan Clwyd will supply a selection of music from Karl Jenkins, namely Sanctus from The Armed Man and Healing Light and I Offer you Peace from The Peace Makers.

The choir will also sing Paul Mealor's Wherever You Are.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 30 at 7.30pm at St Asaph Cathedral.

The North Wales International Music Festival runs at St Asaph between September 15 and 30.
