GREAT efforts were made by scouts to clear an invasive Clematis plant on Gronant Sand dunes.
Third Prestatyn Scouts carried out the work in the hope of securing habitats for Sand Lizards and Natterjack Toads.
They were joined by senior meteorologist Derek Brockway who was filming for the next BBC Wales series of Weatherman Walking.
Simon Williams, scout leader, said: "It was great getting support from Derek and talking to him about scouting.
"The scouts are very community focused and love visiting the dunes and getting stuck in, anyway they can. By doing so, they improve the lives of the local wildlife but also developing skills for life such as teamwork, co-operation and perseverance.“
