A FASHION retailer will give a Rhyl shopping centre another boost by opening its first Welsh outlet this week.

The White Rose Centre will continue to go from strength to strength with the addition of its second new retailer in less than a month by welcoming You Know Who’s to town on Wednesday, August 8 at 10am.

In a major coup for the shopping centre, You Know Who’s will open their sixth nationwide store in the former unit of troubled discount clothing retailer Store 21 - which exited the town amid a raft of UK wide closures earlier this summer.

The Works also returned to the shopping centre in July, after closing two years ago.

Sue Nash, shopping centre manager, said: “There is no doubt that the retail sector is struggling in many parts of the UK, so to get these two new retailers opening in the centre within a month shows considerable confidence in what is happening in Rhyl, and in the shopping centre."

This latest addition will join more than 30 retailer at the shopping centre, including Iceland, Poundland, B&M, Superdrug, New Look, JD Sports and Boots.

ms Nash added:“We wish You Know Who’s every success in their opening week, and we expect that they will do well here in Rhyl.

“Reports from The Works management indicate that they have surpassed expectations since they re-opened here, and we are delighted to report that we are getting increased numbers of shoppers at the moment.
