A WARM welcome to the Kit Kat Klub awaits fans of classic Broadway spectacle in Colwyn Bay next week.

Theatre Colwyn's next Demntia Friendly Film is a screening of the 1972, Bob Fosse choreographed musical masterpiece Cabaret.

Set in 1930s Berlin, Liza Minnelli stars as fraulein Sally Bowles, a dancer at the infamous and seedy Kit Kat Club, whose hedonism represents a haven of liberty in stark contrast to the rise of fascism in the city.

Also starring Joel Grey and Michael York, this iconic film features the songs Cabaret, Don’t Tell Mama, Wilkommen and If You Could See Her.

While the 'dementia friendly' screenings are aimed at people with dementia, memory loss – and their family, friends and carers – they are also open to the general public.

The screening is on Thursday, July 12 at 2pm. Tickets are £4, with carers admitted free, and available from theatrcolwyn.co.uk or by calling 01492 572888.

Wheelchair users are invited to contact Theatr Colwyn before the screening to reserve a space.
