Dance and rock music will return alive and kicking to Rhyl Pavilion next week.

Pupils from Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, Abergele will stage the toe-tapping production of classic coming-of-age dance celebration Footloose on Thursday, July 5 and Friday 6.

Following the quest of a slick city kid to restore dance to stuffy small town, this '80s classic has been an enduring classic thanks to its celebration of teenage rebellion, romance and unforgettable choreography.

Stepping into Kevin Bacon’s dance shoes as Ren is James Lawson, joined by Amelia Gray as love interest Ariel – each making their debut in a musical – with a cast from across all years.

The performers will dance away to hits Holding Out for a Hero, Let’s Hear It For the Boy and the title number itself, Kenny Loggins’ masterpiec,e Footloose.

Footloose will be at The Pavilion at 7pm on Thursday, July 5 and Friday 6.
