THIS wasn’t just any volunteering event - but a Marks and Spencer volunteering project!

Staff from M&S rolled up their sleeves to help the Abandoned Animals Association in Ffordd Ffynnon, Prestatyn.

As part of its Making Every Moment Special campaign, a team of seven employees from the Prestatyn store spent two days at the site and helped paint, touch up the agility course, tidy the kennels and more.

Carol Roberts, rescue centre manager, said: “M&S assisted in the revitalisation of our dog sensory and enrichment garden, which included our sand pit, doggy ball pit, tunnel and tires - just to name a few.

“The latest bout of warm weather has found the grass and weeds growing at an accelerated rate and the M&S teams trowled, dug and ploughed their ways through the chaos.

“They also gave the area a fresh lick of paint to complete the new look.

“This revamp will have a massive impact on our four-legged friends as it will provide them with physical and mental stimulation during their time at the centre.”

Tina Jones, Prestatyn M&s store manager, said she was “excited” to making links with the centre.

The Prestatyn store has also chosen the Abandoned Animals Association as their charity of the year.
