A WOMAN from Wrexham has been banned from driving after pleading guilty to being behind the wheel on Rhyl seafront with almost twice the permitted level of alcohol in her breath.

She had intended to stay the night at a local hotel but changed her mind after the shock of seeing a man she wished to avoid, Llandudno Magistrates Court was told.

Leah Williams, 26, of Deva Way, admitted driving a Seat Ibiza on the seafront at Rhyl on June 2 with an alcohol count of 66, the limit being 35.

She told police she had drunk four pints.

She was banned from driving for a year and ordered to pay a totala of £315 in a fine and costs.
