A MYTHICAL event has been conjured up and it is coming to Talacre this weekend.

The family event - titled MythFest Wales - will run this Sunday.

The event features outdoor performances based on Welsh myths and legends. Visitors can get involved and 'magic' to help good overcome evil.

There will be two performances on Sunday. As well as storytelling, there will be music and natural crafts.

Another event will run on Sunday, June 17 at Llandegla.

Michelle Barratt, one of the organisers, said: "MythFest is a magical, family adventure set over three hours in four different outdoor locations.

"It tells a story of power, greed and love through performance using music and local mythological creatures from the wild waters of Wales.

"We have weaved these stories - relating to myths and legends - into an event. Visitors can take part in singing, crafting and weaving crafts."

Vanessa Warrington, project manager of Myth Fest, added: "It is aimed to be unique and magical. We discovered some crazy stories whilst researching the myths, legends and superstitions of Flintshire, Denbighshire and Wrexham.

"It has been two years in the making and combines all the elements of a great family adventure whilst offering a whole new slant on cleaning up our planet."
