Young volunteers have been commended for carrying out a combined total of 5,950 hours of service to the community.

Gerry Frobisher, former mayor and the youth lead volunteering and wellbeing development officer at Denbighshire Voluntary Services Council, met with 57 Prestatyn High School year 13 students, to reward them for their hard work in the school and community ahead of National Volunteers Week, next week.

As part of the presentation, 25 of the students were awarded Millennium Volunteering 50-hour, 100-hour and 200-hour awards of excellence and sports awards certificates.
