A MAN remains in custody after being arrested on suspicious of drink driving following a hit and run in Abergele.
The incident happened on Tan y Gopa Road on Tuesday night (May 22) and a BMW was involved.
A woman was hit shortly after 7pm but the car left the scene.
North Wales Police Roads Policing Unit said: "The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening leg injuries.
"The car was found a short while later and the 24-year-old driver was arrested after providing a positive breath test."
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called on Tuesday, May 22 at approximately 7.05pm to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car near Tan y Gopa Road in Abergele.
"We responded with one emergency ambulance where a female patient was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl."
