More than 70 princesses joined together in Rhuddlan for a Royal hen party on behalf of Meghan Markle.

Rhuddlan Environment Group organised the special hen do, alongside a litter pick, for 79 of the town’s children wearing regal dresses and crowns for the occasion.

Brenda Taylor, chairperson of the Rhuddlan Environment Group, said: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have promised the public a wedding focused on fun, joy and an opportunity for celebration.

“With fun being at the forefront of the royal wedding, we decided it would be a good idea to get together ahead of the wedding and treat our hard working leaders and children’s groups to a hen party and a celebration meal at the Morfa Rhuddlan.”

“Our celebratory hen party was also a golden opportunity for all the children to dress up as a little princess and include a good turn with the litter pick.

The celebrations on Rhuddlan foot bridge on Monday, April 30 were supported by Mayor of Rhuddlan cllr Andrew Smith under the supervision supervised by Ruth Archer of the Rainbows, Adele Gregory of the Brownies and Tracey Davies of the Guides.

The children offered good wishes and photographs of the event with a card of congratulations for the prince and his bride, and also gathered in song with a rendition of Happy Wedding Day Meghan and Harry.

Mrs Taylor added: “It was a night to remember, all the children looked beautiful and they enjoyed dressing up for the evening.”
