AN APPEAL has been launched following two deliberate fires in Prestatyn.
The first incident was a wheelie bin fire on Ffordd Onnen at 8.45pm Tuesday, April 10. A second blaze was then reported at 9.15pm at a barn containing livestock, on Gronant Road.
Sergeant Tex Green, of North Wales Police, said: "Fortunately no-one was injured as a result of these fires, which we believe were started by juveniles, but the consequences could have been serious had it not been for the early intervention of those who alerted us to the incidents.
"Fires not only pose a risk to the individuals involved, but also the officers attending. We need to impress on those responsible that deliberate fires endanger lives,” he added.
Anyone with information relating to the fires in Prestatyn is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101. Quote reference W045575 or W045589.
