A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following another man being taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The injured man, aged 22, had been hit by a vehicle in Abergele, and his injuries, although serious are said not to be life threatening.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “The arrested man has been released on bail pending further enquiries”.
The incident happened in Groes Llwyd, just before 10pm on Saturday.
Cllr Sam Rowlands, Pentre Mawr ward councillor, described the incident as "terrible".
He added: "I fully support the police investigation into the matter and will seek to understand if there are any highway improvements possible that could prevent a similar incident in the future.
"This junction is part of a narrow set of streets on a one way system, we will review the traffic management of the area to understand if there are any possibilities of improvement.
