A NEW partnership has been formed to seek out talented and skilled workers.

JVP Group, who's head office is located on the Business Park in Bodelwyddan, has joined forces with North Wales Tourism to provide a digital job platform and recruitment service.

The service is part of the Go North Wales Tourism and Hospitality Academy, unveiled in 2017, which aims to connect students, tourism and hospitality employees, employers and education providers in North Wales.

JVP Group will work with the academy to aid the development of a skilled workforce and assist tourism and hospitality businesses across the region in attracting talent.

Work experience promotion and volunteer opportunities will be provided as well as a range of workshops for student members of the academy.

Cath Harrison, managing director of JVP Group said: "The sector is hugely important to the Welsh economy and it is therefore essential that we focus on tackling the skills shortage, and building a sustainable workforce for the future."

Jim Jones, North Wales Tourism managing director, added: "The response we have had since announcing our plans for the Academy in September has been fantastic.

"Employers can see the enormous opportunity to work together with colleges to mould and develop the next generation of tourism professionals."
