A BUSINESS club breakfast was held at the 1891 restaurant in Rhyl Pavilion.

Organised under the umbrella of Rhyl Business Group, the meeting was attended by about 40 people.

County councillors Tony Thomas, who represents Rhyl east, and Brian Jones, of Rhyl south east, proposed the event to the club.

Cllr Jones said: "The attendance represented a cross section of the Rhyl business community.

"The agenda for the meeting including presentations from the Denbighshire County Council business and development manager, Mike Horrocks, who gave an update on the Rhyl masterplan.

"The Mosaic organisation gave a detailed explanation of the business investment district proposal for Rhyl."

Cllr Jones added: "Mike Jones, from Denbighshire County Council, presented the meeting with an insight into his work on what will become the new traffic flow management scheme for Rhyl town centre and Sarah Wheale, from Pleydell Smithyman Ltd, also presented her companies project to engage with the Rhyl town centre community to establish what they want to see the town centre looking like, going forward."

The next Rhyl Business Group breakfast meeting has been provisionally set for July 6.
