A THIN black and white collie dog with long nails has been found dead in Rhyl.
The sad discovery was made by a fisherman on Good Friday at about 1.30pm in the bushes by Brickfields Pond, near Cefndy Road.
An appeal has now been launched for information.
RSPCA inspector Tim Jones said: "This would have been a shocking discovery to have found this dog, dead and in a thin condition and with long nails.
"The dog wasn’t microchipped so we can’t identify who he belongs to. We’re appealing for information to try and find out what happened to him, and if he has an owner as he may have gone missing.”
Anyone with information about this dog is asked to contact the charity’s inspectorate appeal line on 0300 123 8018.
