A MAN who created a rumpus in an Accident and Emergency department and grabbed a nurse “in the groin area” has been sent to the crown court for sentence.

Polish national Wieslaw Lopusiewicz, of Ffordd Llewellyn, Flint, pleaded guilty to four charges.

He was accused of sexual assault, outraging public decency by performing a lewd act and assaulting two nurses, with one of them punched in the stomach on February 12.

The nurse who was sexually assaulted pushed him away and he fell asleep, Llandudno magistrates were told.

Gareth Parry, prosecuting, said Lopusiewicz, 59, had been taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital at Bodelwyddan by police who had found him wandering the streets with a cut head and grazes.

He fell unconscious at one stage and then had to be stopped when trying to walk into a cubicle occupied by an elderly woman.

The court was told that when interviewed Lopusiewicz said he could not remember the incidents.

He was bailed to appear at Mold Crown Court on April 12.
