A PETS store in Rhyl has sign a five-year lease extension .

Ediston Property Investment has completed lease extensions with Pets at Home on Clwyd Retail Park as well as the chain’s store on the Plas Coch Retail Park in Wrexham.

Calum Bruce, director at Ediston, said: “The agreement signals the importance of Rhyl as a shopping location and, with the lease extending until 2025, shows the confidence businesses have in the local area.”

Pets at Home moved into the former Comet store on the Rhyl site five years ago.

The company occupies 21,900 sq ft across its Rhyl and Wrexham operations and has agreed to sign the lease extension on each unit in exchange for a six-month rent-free period.

The lease in Rhyl will expire in March 2025 and the lease in Wrexham will come to an end in June 2027.

Mr Bruce added: “We are delighted that we have been able to extend the lease with our Pets at Home partners based in the Clwyd Retail Park in Rhyl.

"Ediston is committed to promoting Rhyl as a prime retail park location, and look forward to working with the local community and council to further develop our shared vision.”

Last December, Prestatyn Shopping Park was acquired by Ediston Property Investment as part of a £144 million property deal.
