THREE cats died during a blaze which left a property badly damaged in Abergele.
An investigation is currently underway to find out the cause of the fire.
Crews from Abergele, Colwyn Bay, Rhyl, Llandudno and Prestatyn were called to the address, on Llanfair Road, on Tuesday, February 13 at about 1.30pm.
The blaze was brought under control just before 5pm.
A spokesperson from the North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: "There was 50 per cent damage to the property by fire and there was severe smoke damage to the rest of the property/contents. Three cats died in the fire.
"The fire was under control by 4.46pm. An investigation is starting today (Wednesday) into what caused the fire.
"Ten firefighters attended with breathing apparatus. Ladders were used as well as thermal imaging cameras, main jet and hoses."
