A seasoned Rhyl panto pro is returning with a trio of stars to unravel the mysteries of the menopause next month.

Former Eastenders star Cheryl Fergison is hanging up her Wicked Witch of the West broom – from last year’s winning turn in The Wizard of Oz – to show Maureen Nolan from the famous sisters' musical group, Casualty’s Rebecca Wheatley and ITV Copy Cats' Hilary O’Neil around the town when Menopause: The Musical comes to the Pavilion.

The all-singing, all-dancing comedy is set in a department store where four women with seemingly nothing in common meet by chance and make fun of their woeful experiences of the menopause – only to bond as they realise it is an unavoidable stage in every woman’s life.

Expect an hysterical show packed full of one-liners about night sweats, hot flushes and memory loss backed by an instantly recognisable soundtrack of innuendo-laden versions of '60s, '70s and '80s pop classics.

Rather than complain, the ladies promise to transform this change-of-life experience into a fun-filled night at the theatre – complete with great songs, rewritten to perfectly capture the mood.

They include anthems like I Will Survive, rewritten for a comic, yet tender night of therapy for the soul.

This is Fergison’s third tour with Menopause The Musical and she said: “This show simply had to be made.

"It tells you it’s OK to talk about the subject and I’m delighted because I’m going through the menopause myself at the moment.

She added: "Until you do, you have no idea it’s such a big thing!

“Suddenly I’m sprouting a moustache. I could do Movember!”

Menopause The Musical is at the Pavilion on Thursday, February 22 at 7.30pm .

Tickets are £28.50, to book call the box office on 01745 330000 or go online at rhylpavilion.co.uk.
