A COUPLE who got engaged after a romantic proposal involving a bus have now tied the knot.
Darryl Moss, from Abergele, pulled out all the stops when he proposed to his then girlfriend Katie Price at Rhyl bus station in 2015.
Darryl, now 29, roped in his bus driver dad Charlie Baxter to help spring the surprise on Katie; when he popped the question, the sign on the bus showed the message ‘Will you marry me?’ When Katie, from Bodelwyddan, said yes – the sign changed to congratulations.
The couple live together in Towyn and were married last month at the Kinmel & Kinspa in Abergele.
Katie, 27, said: “We are both always looking out for the bus Darryl used, we call it our bus. We are pretty good at remembering the registration plate.
“We didn’t have anything bus related at the wedding. My wedding day was everything I dreamed and more. It was perfect – I wouldn't have changed anything at all.”
The proposal, in 2015, took two weeks to plan. Darryl also managed to hide both families on the Arriva bus.
”What I remember about the proposal is it being very emotional and happy,” Katie added. “I loved that all my family was there to be included in that moment.
“We want to thank all our families and friends for attending our big day.”
