PRESTATYN Town saw their Huws Gray Alliance lead cut after a frustrating 1-1 draw at Denbigh Town.Neil Gibson’s side maintained their unbeaten start to the campaign but will wonder how they did not claim three points, and they will look to get back to winning ways this Saturday when they host new boys Penrhyncoch (2.30pm).The visitors began the game at Central Park in fine style and took the lead on eight minutes courtesy of the prolific Jordan Davies, who notched his 11th goal of the season with a neat finish. The Seasiders were in complete control of proceedings thanks to a dominant midfield display, but despite creating numerous chances they were unable to add to their tally. They were made to pay for their inefficiency in-front of goal on 23 minutes when the home side levelled when Ant Williams broke clear and finished well.Chances fell to both sides after the break but neither were unable to find a winner, ensuring both sides went home with a share of the spoils.Denbigh manager Gareth Thomas, said: “Not the greatest performance but at least we are starting to do the basics and working hard again for one another."Prestatyn are a decent side and caused us plenty of problems but we had some luck at times and held on for a decent point."With champions Caernarfon Town beating Conwy Borough 5-2 at The Oval, Gibson’s side are now level on points with the Cofis with a game in hand.
