LLANDUDNO gained another positive victory on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over Huws Gray Alliance promotion hopefuls Prestatyn Town at Maesdu Park.

The home side began the game brightly and took the lead after 12 minutes when Lee Thomas steered the ball home after good work from the influential Mike Williams.

New arrival from Rhyl John Owen was unfortunate not to score on a pair of occasions immediately after, but the striker was finally rewarded for his persistence on the stroke of half-time when he latched on to a Marc Williams free-kick to double the advantage.

Things got even better after the break when Alan Morgan’s side added a third from the penalty spot on 48 minutes, with Thomas notching his second of the evening after Gareth Evans had been felled in the box.

The Seasiders managed a consolation as the second period wore on, but Tudno saw out the game comfortably for yet another preseason triumph.

After the match the club confirmed the signing of striker Dean Seager, who returns to the club following spells at Conwy Borough and Llandudno Junction last season.

The talented forward impressed while on trial with the Europa League qualifiers, scoring in their win over a Tranmere Rovers XI last weekend.
