THIS year the Ymuno festival is returning to Abergele for a weekend of folk, funk and plenty of fun.
Ymuno, a festival that takes its name from the Welsh word meaning ‘join together’, focusses on its strong community and its green and family centric ethos, having a reputation for nurturing emerging artists and musicians.
This year promises another great line-up of national and international musicians such as K.O.G & the Zongo Brigade, Sorceress, The Turbans, Renegade Brass Band, The Impellers, Denuo, Hannah Scott, William the Conqueror, and Mister Keith.
The line-up also includes some of the best and emerging talent from North Wales including gypsy-funk-fusion trio The Hedgegods, who have appeared on stage at the prestigious Boomtown festival, the politcally-charged and soulful blues singer Nia Wyn, the enchanting Abbey Bulter and Welsh-lyricists Yr Adar.
There is a packed activity program for children that is free to access, as well as laughing yoga, poetry for families, an eclectic range of speakers, stalls and crafts, and plenty of activities for adults to get involved with.
More information to come.
The festival will take place from July 1-4 at Bryn Ffanigl Ganol Campsite, Abergele. For more information visit www.ymuno.com.
