AUDITIONS will be held this Sunday for the Her Benny production coming to the Pavilion Theatre, Rhyl.

StoryProfessional musical are holding auditions looking for talented performers to join the cast in the two lead juvenile roles of Benny and his sister, Nell. The production also offers excellent opportunities for a strong junior ensemble and for older students to join the adult professionals in their ensemble work

The successful auditioners will be supporting the touring cast whent they come to Rhyl to perform the musical, which won The International Quest for New Musicals.

The production is based on the original book ‘Her Benny’, written by a Methodist Minister called Silas K Hocking in 1879. The book made Hocking the first ever million-selling novelist and the musical always plays to packed houses.

Anne Dalton, the show’s writer and producer, said: “It is incredibly important to me to use excellent local performers to support the professional touring cast.

“Her Benny the musical, is large scale and the juvenile leads are tremendously important. Our last visit to the theatre unearthed so much talent, it was staggering.”

Her Benny is a classic rags to riches, heart warming tale of a young orphan boy’s struggle to survive the harsh streets during the intense poverty of the Victorian era and to look after his sister, little Nell.

The open auditions will be held at Rhyl Pavilion, this Sunday, December 6.
