THERE were no last-minute surprises as the final line-up of candidates was confirmed for the Vale of Clwyd in the General Election.
Nominations for parliamentary candidates closed on Thursday, April 9. Voters heading to polling station on Thursday, May 7 will have a choice between James Davies, Welsh conservative, Paul Davies-Cooke, UK Independence Party (UKIP), Mair Rowlands,
Plaid Cymru, Chris Ruane, current Labour MP and Gwyn Williams, Liberal Democrat.
