LLANDUDNO golfer Amy Boulden remains in the box-seat for European Tour Rookie of the Year despite slipping down the leaderboard at the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters.

The 21-year-old safely made the cut after carding a two-over-par 74 in her second round to bring her down to level par for the tournament.

However, the advantage over her nearest rival in the Rookie of the Year running, England's Sally Watson, has been cut from six to two strokes.

Boulden was €8,000 ahead of Watson heading into the tournament, the finale of the Ladies European Tour.

Ahead of Conwy Golf Club member Boulden is fellow north Wales golfer Becky Brewerton, of Abergele, who drops to joint 10th position after a one-over-par second round of 73, which leaves her on four under overall.

Leading the way after two rounds is China's Shanshang Feng, who holds a commanding four shot lead on eleven under par.
