NORTH Wales business leaders have been invited to hear from a top economist about the government's upcoming UK budget for 2014. 

BBC News 24 and World Business Report contributor Dr Dominic Swords, will address guests on the implications of UK Chancellor George Osborne’s Budget at OpTic, Glyndwr University, St Asaph, today (Wednesday). 

North Wales chair of event co-organisers the Institute of Directors, Helen Watson, said: “This event is open to non-members and we urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity.” 

Dr Swords provides analysis for broadcast programmes including CNBC’s Strictly Money and the BBC’s Financial World Tonight, and has previously worked in economic intelligence at the Bank of England. 

The event runs from 6pm to 8.30pm and includes light refreshments.
