A PRESTATYN electrical firm has secured a £900,000 deal with a Deeside-based defence contractor.

Bebbington & Wilson Ltd, which employs 30 people, has just been awarded a facilities management contract with the Defence Support Group (DSG), Sealand, Deeside.
It is hoped the five-year contract could lead to growth in the work force.

Director Ray Wilson said: “We’ve gone from strength to strength in recent years,
including opening a new office on Guernsey and this new contract with DSG proves that our clients have real confidence in our ability to deliver services that ensures their operations continue to run smoothly.

"This latest contract will further consolidate our reputation in the sector, offer job security for our team and help with our expansion plans for the future.”

The firm will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of all electrical and mechanical systems at DSG, including air conditioning, compressors, fire alarms, BMS controls, generators, UPS equipment and door access systems.

DSG provides a wide range of support services to the Ministry Of Defence, including maintenance and repair, procurement and fleet management to assist the UK air and land armed forces in their operations.

The new contract follows on from the recent success of a multi-million pound contract with The Long Port Group, Channel Isles and other projects in the retail and health care sector.
