FOUR men have been issued with fixed penalty notices after disorder broke out among football fans on a train at Rhyl railway station.

All four men – three aged 50, 41 and 22, all from the Wrexham area, and a 34-year-old from the Telford area – were arrested at Rhyl station and later interviewed under caution by British Transport Police (BTP) officers after the incident on Saturday, 12 April.

They were then released on police bail, pending further enquiries, and have subsequently been issued with penalty notices for disorder.

Detective Sergeant Guy Ellis, of British Transport Police, said: “I would like to thank the local media for their assistance in publishing this appeal, as well as the members of public who came forward with important information.”
