HI-DE-HI star Ruth Madoc will take the lead as the wicked queen in this year’s Rhyl Pavilion Pantomime.

The Welsh actress, who played Gladys Pugh in the 80s comedy series, will take on the villainous role in Rhyl’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Gladys will be joined by Jen Pringle, Channel 5's Milkshake presenter, who will play Snow White, Sean Jones, Denbigh born actor, who will play Muddles and James Lusted, Olympic Torchbearer and subject of his own documentary, Byd Mawr y Dyn Bach - The Small Man's Big World - who will play Sneezer.

Pantomime Dame will be played by Jamie Steen.

A spokesperson for the Pavilion Theatre said: “There are more than seven little reasons why this year’s Rhyl Pavilion Panto is the one to see.

“The story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is one of the most popular of all time. It has all the ingredients of a classic tale - a beautiful princess, a handsome prince, a good fairy and a wicked queen and of course there is Muddles, a dame, a magic mirror and seven of the craziest little people you have ever seen.”

Gay Harris Dancers and North Wales School of Dance will also join the cast.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs from Friday, December 12 to Saturday, January 10 2015.

Ticket are priced from £7.50 to £15.50 with family tickets, grandparent specials and group rates avaliable.
