POLICE officers in Rhyl carried out a Misuse of Drugs Act search warrant in Wood Road this morning (Wednesday, August 13).

Although no one was arrested, a number of drugs related paraphernalia and property believed to be stolen was seized and enquiries are ongoing.

Mark Jones, sergeant, said: "A warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed this morning in Wood Road, Rhyl and a number of what we believe to be drugs related items recovered at the property. Enquiries into what we have seized and the occupants in the premises will continue.

“This morning’s action is part of our on-going effort to tackle illegal drug production, possession and supply in the town.

"I’d also like to reassure and thank the community for their help and support."

Anyone with information regarding the production, supply or use of controlled drugs in the area can telephone North Wales Police on 101 or alternatively via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
