Group aiming to reduce caravan park crime to hold meeting next week

A NEW group aiming to reduce crime in caravan parks will hold a meeting next week.

The Towyn and District caravan owners’ forum will be held at the town’s community centre at 11am on Monday, August 18.

It will be the first meeting of the new group, which aims to reduce crime on caravan sites in Towyn, Kinmel Bay, Pensarn and surrounding areas.

The first meeting will be hosted by Police Community Support Officers Steve Thomas and Phil Roberts from the Neighbourhood Policing Team.

PCSO Thomas said: “Everyone who owns a static caravan in the Towyn, Kinmel Bay and Pensarn areas is invited to the meeting, which is hoped to shape a forum for crime prevention, consumer advice and local authority input to all members.

“If you are interested, please feel free to come along to the meetings and see how we can help you with any issues relating to the ownership of your holiday home.”
